If you’d like your arms to be more toned and you stop wearing long sleeves, even when it’s scotching hot outside, then these exercises are the thing for you.
With the push-up you will be able to improve your posture and tone your abs, chest and arms. If you feel the exercise is too tiring for you try to do a lighter version of it with your knees on the ground.
- Push-up & side plank
This push-up is a relatively lighter version than the regular one. It does wonders for your arms and it tones them perfectly. Between 2 push-ups try to rotate your body outward and to hold yourself up with one arm and reach out with your other arm upward. Return to your starting position and repeat several sessions of the exercise.
- Triceps dip
This exercise gives the best results if it is done outside, for example, in between your running sessions. You need to lower your butt and stretch out your legs forward. Make sure you use your arms as support and then start pulling back up, but try not to move your legs back to the initial position.
- Bent over row
This exercise includes pulling weights upward from a bent position. Make sure your back is always straight, since an improper body position can be harmful to your spine while you are doing these exercises.
- Triceps extension
Hold a weight behind your back, and start pulling it up by stretching your arms above your head.
- Triceps kickback
Bend backwards and hold the weights close to your chest with your arms bent. With a controlled motion stretch your arms backwards in a swift and complete one repetition.
- Upside-down “Namaste”
This is a specific stretch which requires that you put your arms together behind your head, while trying to touch your palms completely. Be careful not to hurt yourself while doing this exercise!
- Arm rotation
This is one of the easiest exercises when compared to the others from our list. You need to stretch your arms to your sides and start rotating them in small circles this exercises also works on your back.
Stretch out your arms with a dumbbell in each and start bringing them together, crossing your arms, one on top of the other, imitating a scissor movement. This exercise can also be done without dumbbell depending the strength of your arms.
- Cobra pose
With this yoga pose, you’ll be able to strengthen your muscles. The cobra pose involves most of your body with your arms. Make sure you stretch yourself before engaging in this exercise.
